Miscellaneous Info

I also have set the blog as my home page now and will use it as my serach engine. I use the google search engine a lot for school anyway so way not make some money off of it!!!

Meeting: Sarah and I will be attending the TNT meeting on Saturday April 30th at 10:00am in Crofton if anyone would like to join us for those of you who live up this way! Just email Jessica the TNT contact and she will sign you up.

Fundraising: Everyone has some really great ideas. I have a lot of people I work with so I will just ask for donations. Definetly will send a letter out to my family and probably my family's friends. And I was thinking to make it convient for the donators we should include an envelope already addressed and stamped so they can just write a check and drop it in the mail. Like a wedding invitation. The more convient probably the higher rate of compliance. I think I yard sale is a must!!! Jamie and I were just getting ready to take a lot of stuff to salvation army but I will save it to sell. Let's pick a date and location!!! I can also get my older sister and her husband to set something up at their work possibly along with my mom. Another idea is one of my friends who did the 5K for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer had a website set up and sent out the link and then you could just donate by credit card or whatever. Wonder if we could set something up like that or if TNT has something set up. I guess we will have to wait for the meetings. Can't wait to go to it actually!!!

Training: One week almost completed and only 19 more weeks to go!!! My mile runs are getting eaiser so that makes it more encourgaging and motivating to stick with it and keep going. Also I was thinking when we get down to the longer runs maybe we cold run a few as a group together to make it more enjoyable. There are a lot of good flat trails up here and I am sure st. marys has some as well somewhere!

Well keep up the good work everyone!!! Everyone who I tell I am doing this 1/2 marathon says they have heard the VA Beach one is a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Friday! Andrea

I am glad that someone is having some success with their runs. I however still am drudging through them. I have never really been a runner which makes me wonder, why did I decide to do this? I think it is more of the challenge and accomplishing something I never thought I could. I am hoping that my runs will be better next week. Actually I know they will. I have been reading a book called "the non-runners marathon trainer" and it deals alot with the mental barriers in training. Probably if I didn't anticipate a horrible run, I would actually have a good one. You know, the whole self-fulfilling prophecy thing? from Psych 101?
